Jazz has its roots in both African and European traditions, and has become an influential musical style in every region throughout the world. Tonight, April 30th, I’m performing alongside Herbie Hancock at UNESCO for the first ever International Jazz Day , where we’ll celebrate the power of jazz to promote peace, dialogue and tolerance.
